Practical Information
Travel to Leiden
The historical university city of Leiden is situated right between Amsterdam and The Hague. Direct trains run every 15-30 minutes from the Amsterdam Centraal, Utrecht Centraal, and Den Haag Holland Spoor International train stations.

If you plan to travel by plane, you can use Schiphol Airport (direct trains to Leiden take ~15-20 minutes and run continuously) or Rotterdam Airport (trains with one stopover in Rotterdam take ~60 mins).

From the UK it is also possible to come by ferry. From Hoek van Holland Harbour (two daily services from Harwich) you can get to Leiden by train via The Hague in ~45 minutes. From IJmuiden (daily service from Newcastle) you can get to Leiden via Haarlem or Amsterdam in ~60 minutes.
